  UNITY
After waiting for years, we finally have some closure on many issues written for DS9. But do all of the endings please us? A good question... All I can say is that I hope it leads to new stories and even more unanswered possibilities. I like where these writers have taken us.

U- Audrid Dax's daughter Neema (mentioned in "Nor The Battle To The Strong") was the host to the Cyl symbiont p. 36

U- Kira and Shakaar's relationship is mentioned p. 38

U- The parasites first introduced in TNG's "Conspiracy" p. 39

U- Bashir and O'Brien's friendship nod- I believe the Alamo model is the intended reference p. 129

U- Minos Korva is from TNG "The Chain of Command" p. 137

The book culminates with the signing ceremony as Bajor enters the Federation. All of the characters (and I mean all of the characters) from the series are present. Admiral Ross and Grand Nagus Rom and Garak (probably somewhere in the crowd) all help bring the book to its close and the eight unofficial season of DS9 ends. Bravo.

What Happens Next?

The book culminates with the signing ceremony as Bajor enters the Federation. All of the characters (and I mean all of the characters) from the series are present. Admiral Ross and Grand Nagus Rom and Garak (probably somewhere in the crowd) all help bring the book to its close and the eight unofficial season of DS9 ends. Bravo.

Now comes the daunting task of picking up the new threads of this neverending tapestry and discovering the next stages for our favorite crewmembers.

Shar and Tenmei? Could it happen? Should he wind up with a male or with a female?

Sisko is home. On Bajor. Will he leave Starfleet behind?

Who is the next Kai? Should Opaka reclaim the title or can she just bring Yevir into the light of her wisdom?

Miles on Cardassia? Wow. He is a great husband. Will he be working with Garak on anything interesting? Will his racist feelings be delved into? Should someone call Deanna in to help?

How long will Odo stay? How long will Taran'atar stay? Was there ever really a Wex?

Ambassador Quark? Uh-oh. What will he do with this new title and how will it make us chuckle and think all at the same time?

Rom and Leeta's child... Nog's sibling. What will it be? What will it look like? Is it destined to be connected to the new daughter of the Emissary?

Bashir and Ezri still have problems. When last we really saw them, Julian thought they wouldn't be able to work together much longer. Will they split up?
